Joachim Kupke (born 21 May 1947 in Sindelfingen) is a German painter and graphic artist. Since the 1970s, he has also worked as a musician, and singer/ songwriter in the band, "If you wanted to". == Life and Art == From 1965 to 1967 Joachim Kupke attended the Art School A.L. Merz in Stuttgart. Following this, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Rudolf Haegele (1967-1972). His studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart were followed by a prolonged period of study in the United States. There he worked on a series of photographs showing people in everyday situations.
